Stars, Stripes and Splatter: July 2  Join us Saturday, July 2 for Stars, Stripes and Splatter, a 5k Color Race!
 This is a color run style event for the whole family with color stations featuring patriotic colors. This is a fun run and will not be chip timed. Prizes will be awarded to the Best Dressed runner as well as the Fastest Male and Female finishers. The 3.1 mile course will start at Jazz Live Field on the grounds of Grand Traverse Resort and Spa and loop back to the start area, with portions of the race running on Lautner road. The race will be followed by an after party with refreshments, an inflatable obstacle course, and color toss. Prices : - $35 June - July 1, 2016

Carter's Kids Fun Run: July 7  Kids! Sign up for the 6th Annual Carter's Kids Festival Fun Run, sponsored by Lake Michigan Credit Union.
When: July 7th, 2016 What: Fun 1 Mile Run for Kids Traverse City’s own celebrity TV handyman, Carter Oosterhouse, will run a one mile race with kids of all ages along the National Cherry Festival’s Touchstone Energy Junior Royale Parade route. The course will start at Front and Railroad Streets and follow Front Street to Union Street; Union Street to Seventh Street; and end at Central Grade School. Each kid will receive an official race bib, a medal, and refreshment. The entry is just $10 per kid race/walker and Kid Chaffeur (Parent). Cherry Mile: July 7  It's Mile night in Traverse City. Join us for the Cherry Mile sponsored by the Traverse City Track Club. This year we'll have elite athletes, high school stars, AND an open mile. Registration will open Friday, May 6th.

Meijer Festival of Races: July 9  5K, 10K, 15K, Half Marathon
Imagine lining up with thousands of runners just like you on a beautiful Traverse City morning. You enjoy the picturesque views of Grand Traverse Bay as you push yourself to beat last year's time. You come to the final stretch downtown and you're reenergized by thousands of cheering fans all the way to the finish line where you're handed cherries after you cross the line. Swim for Grand Traverse Bay: August 13  A 2-mile point-to-point open water swim from Greilickville Harbor Park to Volleyball Beach in Traverse City. An after-party with food, beverages, games and entertainment will follow next door at Clinch Park.

Dune Dash: August 20  Just Dune It!
Join us for the fifth annual Dune Dash 4 mile run/walk Saturday, August 20, 2016. The race course showcases the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail located in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore.
Starting and finishing at the base of the Dune Climb in the Sleeping Bear Dunes, runners follow the flat, paved Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail past rolling dunes and beautiful forests to the turn around point at historic Glen Haven. Don't miss your chance to experience one of the most beautiful scenic runs in Michigan. All proceeds from this event will go to the continued construction of the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail.
