North American VASA

The North American Vasa has been a Traverse City tradition since 1977. For 44 years we have been celebrating winter with our “Festival of Races.” The entire community comes together to make it all possible. Whether you’re a newbie to the sport of cross country skiing or a seasoned racer, young or not so young, “The Vasa” has something to offer you. We offer ski races from 6 to 50km in both classic and skate styles for all ages. And that’s not all: in recent years we welcomed the addition of fat bike races, and this year, we are excited to be offering a snowshoe race. Timber Ridge Resort hosts the festivities, and events take place in the beautiful Pere Marquette Forest. All this is in the backyard of the vibrant town of Traverse City. We hope you join us!
