2021 Up North Media Traverse City Turkey Trot Registration Now On Sale! September 1, 2021(Traverse City, MI), Runners and walkers alike will be able to trot the streets of Traverse City once again this year for this annual Thanksgiving event! Not only is the 5K run/walk returning but the 5 Mile Flier option will be part of the event again this year. “We are excited to bring back this annual, and for many a family tradition back to in person for 2021”, said Race Organizer, Brian Hagerty. Pull those Turkey hats, socks, and costumes out of the closet and sign up to get your turkey trot t-shirt to go along with that gobblin’ good outfit. Additional runners will have the option to purchase a festive ¾ zipper long sleeve tech shirt if they are looking to stuff their packet full of swag. Racers can expect the course to be similar to years past, taking them through the beauty of downtown Traverse City, beginning and ending at St. Francis High School. Make room for that extra turkey by getting out and exercising on Thanksgiving morning, everyone is welcome, from runners to walkers, from strollers to our four legged friends, this event is open to all. Celebrating the true meaning of Thanksgiving, the Up North Media Traverse City Turkey Trot will again be giving proceeds to the Tart Trails, to continue to grow and celebrate a safe and active culture in our community. Moving the event to virtual last year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic was a challenge as the Traverse City Turkey Trot much like Thanksgiving, is a tradition that is often enjoyed with family. Safety is still a top priority for the Up North Media Traverse City Turkey Trot, local and state guidelines will be followed and runners will be updated as the race approaches.
